A Muse Challenge - Dies
I really need to improve my photo taking skills! And it's not as if I can complain about a lack of sunshine since I live in the sunshine state.... Any tips would be gratefully appreciated :) .
Moving on - the newest A Muse Challenge is to use dies somewhere on your card and with all the great options Amuse has, that's not hard at all. It's actually much harder for me to make a card without using one of them right now. This card uses our label die and one of the butterfly trio dies, as well as one of the oval Spellbinders dies, which A Muse also carries.
The cardstock, both plain and patterned, is part of the Venetian Palette collection and the ribbon is fern satin.
I got the idea for the ribbon fold from a card I found on Pinterest. For some odd reason, one side tucked, folded and glued with no problem, while the other side resisted all my best efforts to get it to behave despite the fact that I used EXACTLY the same method on both sides. There are no prizes for guessing which side gave me problems, but there is a prize potential if you play along with the challenge, so why not head on over and check it out?

Around in circles
Because I made this card for Operation Write Home's Mother's Day card drive it was completed last month and I don't remember where I found the inspiration for it - I think it was Pinterest but now I can't find it on any of my boards
Anyhow, it was really easy to make and because I made multiples of it, all with different papers, it helped to use up a ton of scraps, as well as a ton of the prima's that I just had to have in every color known to man, which I hardly ever use any more. So OWH gets cards and I get to use up supplies. Everybody wins!
If you've never heard of OWH before, please check out their website. It's a wonderful thing when you can combine a hobby you love with the chance to support our heroes.
Hope you all are having a fabulous Wednesday....

Bad Blogger
Not me (although I have been a bit scarce lately) but the interface, the program, the blog thingy itself. First my computer decided to change fonts on me without my permission - everything was coming up italics and nothing I did seemed to fix that. I deleted and re-installed fonts and programs, I did a system recovery, I opened and closed things, went "under the hood" in Google Chrome, installed Firefox........ you get the drift. NOTHING worked and it was driving my crazy.
What I did find out, in all my frantic googling and searching through forums, was that lots of people seem to be having a similar issue so in case you are one of them, here is the solution that finally worked for me. Install this update , close out of Chrome and open it again and everything in the garden is rosy again.
You're welcome !

Thank you Challenge
When someone does something nice for you, sending a handmade thank you card is a wonderful way to show your appreciation. I like to keep some on hand, so play along with Tobey's challenge for us at the A Muse Studio Challenge and make something lovely.
My card uses more of my current love, our polka dot card stock, together with our dies (which I can't seem to make a card without either!)
Check out the challenge here.

Something to die for...
That's this weeks A Muse Studio Challenge! A Muse has a ton of dies and I've slowly been building up my collection - it's not hard to do because they are so reasonably priced. The recent new catalog brought some exclusive Spellbinder dies which are darling. Check them out in the online store under the tools section.
For my card, I used the middle sized scallop die for the fence, two of butterfly die (comes in a set of 3 also) and the banner die, together with some more of the beautiful polka dotted paper which is my current obsession. I had cut out some clouds too, but I felt they made it just a little too busy so I used restraint (which I am not normally known for)
If you'd like to join in, we'd love to have you. Click on over here for all the details
April Spotlight
Aren't these the cutest April Showers you have ever seen?
Baby showers, rain showers and showers of love! Spotlight sets are discounted for April only, and the Spotlight paper packs are a wonderful way to start or build a collection of A Muse cardstock. I love the cardstock - the colors are so.........colorful.......pretty.......covetable........ and it's totally unique because it's only colored on one side and white on the other - no need for card liners
If you want to see a larger version, just click on the link in the side bar - if you have any questions, just let me know.
