amuse studio challenge

This is my card for the Amuse Studio Challenge Blog. Sheila is our hostess this time around and she wants us to create a card using something that flys on the March winds.... Birds need wind to fly, right?
This card uses all sorts of Amuse goodness - our polka dot, heartbreaker and grass cardstock, our cloud die, our swallow die and our scallop die and the sentiment is from the aptly named "essential sentiments" set.
Thanks for stopping by!

Goodness!

Crafty goodness that is! So many new crafty goodies, I hardly know where to begin!

Along with what seems like half of the world, I am in the midst of the Tim Holtz Creative Chemistry Class. And already I'm a couple of days behind, but the beauty of an online class is taking it at your own speed and I have plans to get caught up over the weekend. I already have a huge stash of TH goodness, but I found it necessary to add to it yesterday. Luckily for me, my LSS, Pictures In Time, keeps all things Tim well stocked.

Then there was the new release goodness from the very talented Krista of Saturated Canary fame. My collection of these cuties is fast growing....... another three were added this week!

And lastly, A Muse Studio goodness - my order arrived yesterday and just look at those gorgeous colors! I love the A Muse cardstock - hello, polka dots! And the shimmer cardstock? Love, love, love!

And if that weren't enough, look closely to see the new dies and stamp sets. A Muse is what kick started my interest in stamping and I'm very glad I decide to join them as a consultant - they are a wonderful company to work with and I've never regretted my decision. If you are at all interested, check out the link to the current recruitment promotion, or just shoot me an e-mail.

Now I'm off to create - catch you all later!

Challenged!

When I was off on my extended stamping break, chasing the lost mojo, one of the most consistent pieces of advice I consistently ignored was to join in with challenges. I'm not sure why I felt it wouldn't be right for me - I couldn't see how more pressure to create and more deadlines to meet would equal more enjoyment. But doing nothing wasn't helping, so I dipped my toe in the water with the Saturated Canary challenges and this week, feeling particularly brave and daring, I am combining it with the Sketch Saturday challenge. And now I get it, I think - now I see why challenges can help spark the old missing mojo. I really enjoyed combining these - coming up with ways of using twine and having the comfort of a sketch as a guide.
So all these other stampers were right and I was wrong - who'd have thunk it?

Pinterest

I LOVE Pinterest. I can spend hours on that site, checking out all the beautiful images and being inspired by all the creativity I find there. So today, when I saw this

I was a little concerned. So I got to clicking and went here, read that article and clicked on a link to here, which in turn led me to here, which finally led me here, which made me feel a little better, but wow - who knew how controversial this seemingly innocent addiction had become.

So I've decided - from now on, until there are some changes in the Pinterest TOS, I will only pin images from sites that have stated permission (including a Pin It button) I'm not ready to leave yet, but I am proceeding with caution.

Operation Write Home Mother's Day Challenge

Before I took my (very, very) extended stamping break, I was a regular contributor to OWH. I'd like to get back into that again, so I've taken up the current challenge. I'm aiming for 25 Mother's Day cards and 25 general cards. Carrying on the doily theme from the Saturated Canary challenge.... then added a Tim Holtz rosette, with a heart die cut. The die cut, cardstock and stamped sentiment are all courtesy of Amuse Studios.

Saturated Canary Challenge # 12

The theme for this challenge is *Doilies*, one of my favorite things to use when I am in an embellishment kind of mood. So one of my favorite embellishments + one of my favorite stamp companies = very happy stamper.

I used Canary Love, which was a freebie,(and wasn't that kind !) but you can find lots of other lovely Saturated Canary images right here

Sorry for the glare on the picture - I can't find the charger for my camera, so I had to use my phone...
