In the interests of full disclosure I'm going to admit I don't love this card. I'm not even sure I like it. I had a vision in my head that just didn't come together on the card which is particularly annoying since I was going to impress my blogging buddies from Ocean's 11 by posting a card that met two challenges.
Chirleen set the first challenge which was to create a card with a 3D element. As soon as I read it, I knew I wanted to incorporate the Pinwheel Paper Posies that are featured in TAC's Serendipity catalog - and along came the vision of the crazy flower garden, complete with 3D grass and butterflies. Only I didn't get it finished in time. Which turned out not to be a bad thing because Elizabeth's challenge for this week was to use sky in a card. And what's a flower garden without a sky? So one card meets two challenges which brings me up to speed with by challenges, but I still don't love the card. But I did meet the challenge this time on time and that's a good thing.
Check out the other challenge cards from Ocean's 11 - all the links are on the right. We have some amazingly talented ladies in this group, you are in for a treat!

This is beautiful Kay. I love the pinwheel flowers and the sky is perfect. When we are working within inches of our creations we get very critical. Sometimes you just need to walk away from the project and look at it later with a fresh eye. Nice job.
I love the card so pretty.
I seen how to do those flowers on the SU mini catalogue.
Iam not a tea drinker or any hot drinks drinker, aye Iam a weirdy.
You will be glad of the pound/dollar rate, your money will go further in June.
This is a very pretty card. I also saw the flower demo in the salebration catalog so I guess now I will have to give it a try...very pretty.
Very pretty. I love the flowers.
Great job with the challenge - love the DP fringed for the grass! Great idea :)
Really? What don't you like? I love your sky and that paper is yummy! I saw those flowers in the TAC Catty and they are very cool! I love your card!
I like how your card turned out. I have seen those flowers in the TAC catty and have been wanting to try them - they look neat. And how great that you were able to get both challenges done in one - great job!
You just crack me up...so glad I reconnected to your blog. I love your full disclosure, it's similiar to my post today. ps. I'm jealous of your coffee maker now too. and pss. my FIL still has his tea every day - and when he visits I have to make sure it's the perfect time of day, not too early and not too late!!
Great that you joined both challenges together. I still need to get it going and do them myself.
Great job combining the two challenges, I can never seem to do that, I always forget something! Love those flowers.
